I have seen a lot of scrabble wall art using the family’s names on the web lately and thought it would be a fun project. I bought some 1×4’s from Lowes and cut them into 4×4 squares. Lots of them. I sanded them down and I used my new Silhouette Cameo (a Christmas present to myself) to cut out vinyl letters for the scrabble pieces:
I used smaller strips of wood in back and glued the letters down. Then I flipped it over and nailed the boards together (for extra strength). I also added two picture hangers to the back:
I put it up on the wall and voila:
Instant art. It measures 36×24. The cost? Under $15!
